Muses: Randi Bergman

Posted on November 04 2013

Welcome to the first instalment of, Muses, a new series on the LAB blog where we interview those savvy and stylish people who inspire us. First up... Fashion Magazine's Randi Bergman!

Who are you and what do you do?

Randi Bergman, Online Editor at FashionMagazine.com

What are you currently working on (if you can share)?

Currently immersed in holiday gift guides and glitzy party stuff. Fashion peeps work such a ridiculously early cycle, that I no longer think it's weird that I've seen more Christmas than fall imagery lately.

Which style icons speak to you the most?

I love anyone who is over-the-top and a little tran. Edie Beale and Liza Minnelli types are tops, but lately I'm into anything '90s, so Donna Martin, Winona Ryder, and slinky sexy girls like Valerie Malone (a.k.a. Tiffany Amber Theissen from 90210). I also worship Patti Smith, but I am nothing like her style-wise.

Which item in your wardrobe are you head over heels for?

My Dutch masters print Carven skirt is the most special, but lately I love anything slinky and frankly a little slutty: lingerie dresses and crop tops FTW!

What current trend do you love?

The 1990s obviously. All about it. I also love the pink trend and I've been wearing a lot of skirts.

What current trend do you hate?

I wouldn't say I hate punk, but it never speaks to me, and I don't think this season's iteration is particularly interesting either.

Best place you've ever traveled to?

Israel is always tops, but this spring I went to Stockholm and I still can't get over how awesome it was.

What was the last album you listened to?

Currently obsessed with Reflektor by Arcade Fire. I was never a fan of theirs, but this album just makes me want to dance!

What is the best meal you've ever eaten?

Tapas dinner at La Flauta in Barcelona. I almost cried.

Prada or MIU MIU?

I used to go back and forth each season, but lately I love both so ardently, I could never choose. Also, how dare you ask me that! :)

Thanks for your posting. One other thing is iiudvndial states in the United states of america have their own laws that affect property owners, which makes it quite hard for the our elected representatives to come up with the latest set of recommendations concerning property foreclosures on house owners. The problem is that a state provides own regulations which may have impact in an unwanted manner in relation to foreclosure plans.
